  • Clinton Thomas Hughes, 85, of Donaldson passed away December 22, 2015. He was born June 16, 1930 to Millard and Lessie (Burris) Hughes. Clinton was a member of the Prairie Bayou Church of Christ. He enjoyed to travel and loved to attend Bluegrass Festivals. Clinton was truly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

    Clinton is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Christine Cranford.

    Clinton is survived by his wife of 67 years Laverne (Henshaw) Hughes of Donaldson; daughters, Sharon Smith of North Little Rock;  Karen Hughes of Donaldson; and Teresa (Darrell) Duran of Benton; brothers, Pete Raymond (Loretta) Hughes of Malvern; Red Milton Hughes of Malvern; Ricky (Donna) Hughes of Malvern; brother-in-law, V.J. Cranford of Malvern; sisters, Doris Ross of Malver;, and Willa Faye(Charles)Baker of Malvern; grandchildren, Kevin (Tera) Fendley, Brittani (Lawrence) Holt, and Justun Matthews; great-grandchildren, Addison and Hunter Fendley, Rease and Riley Matthews, Xavier Stone, L.J.  and Savannah Holt. As well as several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

    Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at Prairie Bayou Church with Bro. Jim Gourley and Bro. Alan Cansler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be James Cranford, Shane Cranford, Jimmy Hughes, Britt Hughes, Monroe Cranford, and David Baker, all nephews of Clinton. Interment will be at Prairie Bayou Cemetery.

    Special Thanks to Dr. Burton, and the Hospice Care Team. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Prairie Bayou Cemetery Fund C/O Mrs. G.V. Efrid 20133 Hwy. 84 Malvern, AR 72104.
